1. Vipassana Meditation

In  mindfulness techniques this type of meditation is applied that emphasizes the awareness of the breath , making the air go out and enter through the nose. Whenever thoughts or emotions creep in, identify them and let them go without judgment.

2. Kundalini Meditation

The Kundalini energy is found at the base of the spine and this meditation helps us to release it. This exercise includes 

 taking breath techniques, mantras, mudras, and chants. It needs a lot of practice to master but is, without a doubt, very rewarding.

3. Chakra Meditation

If you have practiced yoga, you will know that the chakras are the energy centers of the body and we have seven located in different parts. Chakra meditation is a type of meditation that helps connect the physical and emotional body . For this, sound is used, the hands are placed in specific places and visualization techniques are used to connect with the chakras.  

4. Zazen Meditation

The  meditation Zazen is closely linked to Buddhism and seeks to create an experience of emptiness. To put it into practice, all you have to do is count the breaths and expirations . It is important that if at any time you get lost you start over from scratch and reach 10.


5. Mantra Meditation

This type of meditation focuses on a series of sacred chants that lead us to meditation and deepen awareness . These are the key to focusing the mind and concentrating. The vibration that sounds cause in the mind and body are very powerful and have effects on our body.

6. Tonglen meditation

Tonglen meditation exercises compassion and is very famous in Tibetan Buddhism . This practice teaches us to connect with our own suffering and to awaken compassion . Tonglen means "send and take".

7. Transcendental Meditation

This practice is based on repeating the same mantra twice a day for 20 minutes . Transcendental meditation brings calm, good energy, relaxation ... Although to get to this point it is important to practice, otherwise staying still for 20 minutes will be very difficult.


The different  types of meditation and their  valuable benefits will allow us to find the one that according to our  rich tastes. As in everything, in meditation we must feel comfortable and motivated enough to practice every day. In time, the results will come on their own. 

If you wish to begin meditating there are different methods to do it. You can look for a center where classes are taught (usually they will be yoga studios) and a teacher will guide you in the practice or you can do it on your own through mobile applications to relax or guided meditations that you will find on the internet. For a beginner it is always better to have a person to advise you and solve any doubts that may arise, but if not today there are free resources to try and progress in your meditation little by little. 

Remember that the most important thing is to be patient and let your medication flow. It is not something that is achieved in two days, but with perseverance you can achieve what you propose.
