Pakistan pays back more than $3.5 billion foreign loans in Q1


 ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan has paid foreign loans of $3.593 billion during the early of the current financial year 2020.


According to the State Bank of Pakistan(SBP), the repayment of loans is a massive burden on the national economy of Pakistan for which various steps are being taken.

It should be noted and reported that during the financial year 2020, Pakistan has again paid past loans of $14.578 billion. Between July,2020 and September 2020, Pakistan returned $ 2.934 billion in principal and $659 million in interest on various foreign loans.


According to the source report, in the last financial year, Pakistan paid back loans worth $11.345 billion in principal and $ 3.233 billion in interest.
